It is common for people to struggle to deal with their emotions and express them in healthy ways. Marissa will teach you the tools to help you navigate these challenges and learn to cope with uncomfortable emotions. She is experienced working with children and adults, supporting them through life’s “big emotions.” Marissa is a former teacher and specializes in working with depression, anxiety, anger, DMDD, ADHD, people-pleasing, and relationship issues. She values building partnership with her clients and their loved ones or caregivers, to create a supportive team dynamic which puts the client’s needs and strengths first.
Marissa received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. She is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) practicing under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C).
