Peejo is an affirming care practitioner. Her therapeutic approach incorporates insight-oriented talk therapy with contemplative practices, including mindfulness and evidence-informed therapeutic interventions. She centers the wisdom of the client, cultural humility and is strength-based, trauma informed and deeply relational. She values connection and the therapeutic relationship as a central component of the healing process. Peejo in therapy co-creates with her clients a brave, non-judgmental space inviting deeper exploration of patterns that are no longer working and supports clients to live their most authentic, confident and easeful expressions through all life transitions.
Peejo is a Licensed Master Social Worker (Clinical Behavioral Health), registered yoga teacher and Yoga Nidra facilitator trained in the integrative amrit method. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work, a Master’s in Education and a Master’s in Teaching from Goucher College. She studied at the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy and is a certified Functional Medicine Health Coach and a board-certified health and wellness coach.
