Mindfulness

Being present in this moment.  It seems like a simple concept, doesn’t it?  However, with all of the competing influences in our modern lives demanding our attention, staying present can be more difficult than it sounds.  Between Facebook, Instagram, texting, phone calls, and emails to our phone, there are an infinite number of distractions readily available.  We tend to go on “autopilot,” and become so busy multitasking that we end up feeling disconnected, instead of really living.

This experience of disconnection can contribute to feelings of anxiety, worry, sadness and depression.  Mindfulness is a practice that teaches us to “take back the wheel” of our attention again.  With mindfulness skill building and practice, we can learn to stay more present, notice our thoughts and feelings without judgment, and become more engaged in our daily lives.

We will teach you simple tools and practices to increase your mindful awareness in your every day life.  Contact us for an appointment today!
