MacKenna Price
LMSW
MacKenna is devoted to providing a warm, curious, and radically accepting space for clients to feel seen and heard in their entirety. She sees it as an honor and a privilege to walk beside her clients in their healing journeys. Her holistic approach aims to normalize rather than pathologize whenever possible, and tenderly offer support wherever the client feels called towards growth.
MacKenna worked directly with young children and families for over a decade. While she primarily works with older adolescents and adults now, she leans into a deep understanding of early childhood experiences and their effects as major guidance. MacKenna believes that everyone has an inner child that could use extra love and compassion. She brings playfulness and light heartedness into sessions when appropriate to help clients access this.
MacKenna is adamant with her clients that yes, it is important to process challenging thoughts, behaviors, and emotions in sessions. But, it is just as important to process the more favorable and beautiful moments that life has to offer. She believes that oftentimes, we get stuck in a tough season of life and discomfort becomes the norm. Her hope is to support clients in returning to an emotional space where safety and security are the norm again.
MacKenna is a Licensed Master Social Worker, pursuing her LCSW in the summer of 2025. In sessions she utilizes CBT and DBT techniques. She has additional training in trauma-informed herbalism and advocacy to protect beings in altered states, and psychedelic integrative therapy approaches. MacKenna obtained her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification as well as a 50-hour trauma informed and mindfulness training. She is passionate about incorporating concepts and values from each of these learning experiences into her work with her clients.
