Jennifer McShea

Professional Counselor (LGPC)

Jennifer is a holistic and integrative therapist that attends to the body, mind, and spirit in a relational and collaborative way. She believes getting to the root cause of symptoms brings liberation from habitual ways of being.  With a therapeutic approach that is emotionally focused, body-based, and heart-centered; she will guide you to access personal insight from a grounded, felt sense of inner knowing.  Jennifer values non-judgement and inclusivity and has experience working with adults from diverse social locations experiencing stress, depression, anxiety, and the impacts of personal, intergenerational, and cultural trauma.

Jennnifer is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor with a specialization in Mindfulness-Based, Transpersonal and Ketamine-Assisted psychotherapy (KAP).  She obtained her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University and her KAP certificate through the Ketamine Training Center.  Along with many years of spiritual apprenticeship, Jennifer has a background engaging healing modalities such as massage therapy and chakra-energy balancing, where she learned to hold space for others and first witnessed the profound connection between the mind and body.

During sessions, Jennifer encourages self-expression and emotional embodiment through various creative and somatic methods.  She integrates trauma-sensitive therapy approaches informed by Gestalt, IFS, ACT, and Polyvagal theories which emphasize the use of mindfulness practices, parts work, and nervous system regulation to reduce physiological and emotional distress. In addition, exploration of transpersonal dimensions will be experienced through attunement to the higher self, discovery of unconscious realms, and experiences of compassion and unity.  Believing you are inherently whole, Jennifer views herself as a guide along your journey of transformation and would be honored to walk alongside you as you reconnect to your inner wisdom.

Jennifer sees clients at our Baltimore location and via telehealth.
