Elisa Bickford

LMSW

Elisa’s therapeutic approach is woven with threads of radical compassion and deep empathy, tailored for children, adolescents, and those seeking to reconnect with their inner child. Elisa aims to create a space where every person is welcomed as they are, their uniqueness celebrated and honored. Drawing from a rich tapestry of humanistic principles, trauma-informed practices, and integrative techniques, she recognizes the intricate dance between heart, mind, body, and spirit.

Utilizing expressive arts therapy, Elisa guides clients in exploring their inner worlds through creative modalities such as visual arts, music, movement, and drama. These techniques provide alternative channels for self-expression, allowing clients to access subconscious thoughts, process emotions, and communicate complex experiences that may be challenging to verbalize. Elisa’s focus lies in creating inclusive and affirming spaces for those who think, feel, and communicate differently.

Elisa serves as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), having earned her master’s degree in social work from Millersville University. Embracing a lifelong journey of learning and growth, she is currently pursuing a certificate in trauma-informed expressive arts therapy. Elisa receives supervision from a Licensed Clinical Social Worker- Certified (LCSW-C) and a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT). She treasures the opportunities she’s had to expand her skill set through trainings such as Trauma-Informed CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness, and Neurodiverse Affirming Play Therapy.
